Sailing through Adriatic cities

Agencies:AmatoriT.O. Shuttle

“Those who seek paradise on earth should seek it in Dubrovnik” George Bernard Show. The name of the town comes from the oak called “dubrave” growing in the surroundings. Dubrovnik, known for the undamaged 1.940 meters of city walls declared World Heritage site by UNESCO, is an ideal place for starting both a sailing tour and a visit of the Balkan region. Sailing away from Dubrovnik we cruise along the coast reaching for Herceg Novi, one of the youngest settlements on the Adriatic sea and first botanical garden of the Mediterranean. Here the different styles blend together (Romanesque, Byzantine and Oriental) and create an original mix together with the hidden beaches reachable by boat. Herceg Novi is the door for the Kotor’s Mouths: an enchanting area considered the most southern fiord of Europe, although it is an ancient coastal deep valley invaded by the sea water. The Mouths preserve several small towns to be better discovered by boat, such as Perast, Risin and Tivat. The sailing tour ends in the marina of Budva, famous for its nightlife, so that it is by far the most popular destination in Montenegro. Nevertheless it doesn’t miss historical sites and traces of the past.
