This page explains how to use this website's georeferenced system to exploit all its potential in order to explore the Adriatic-Ionian geographical area.
The "georeferenced navigation" uses satellite's images of the territory and allows to locate geographically each tourist "attraction" within the area; the place where it is located is graphically represented by an "interest" point within a map. The search of interest points can be filtered at different geographic levels (countries, provinces/counties/regions, single cities) or according to the specific interest of the user (art and culture, sea and nature, sport and wellness, religion or food and wine).
The website is divided in three macro-areas:
The top of the website pages contains the heading with the website logo, a background image and a horizontal menu with five sections allowing to view all institutional areas of the website: by clicking on the area's name the relative page is displayed.
Clicking on "What Adrion is", a page opens explaining the brand's identity, mission and objective; clicking on "Contacts" a page opens with a module to forward a request; clicking on "Useful links" a page displays with a list of some reference national websites concerning tourism.
When the mouse pointer is positioned on the different menu's sections, the icon of the arrow within the button becomes blue.
The left vertical menu presents some suggestions to design your ideal journey, with the possibility to build up itineraries according to the user's preferences.
The upper section of the vertical menu "where do you wish to go" lists the seven countries of the Adriatic-Ionian geographical area, by clicking on one of them it is possible to go to the dynamic map: in this page the user can search the tourist places/attractions by country, province, county, region and city.
The central section of the vertical menu "what you are interested in" is made up of five themes of interest, by clicking on one of them it is possible to go to the dynamic map: in this page the user can search the tourist places/attractions by selecting art and culture, sea and nature, sport and wellness, food and wine, religion.
The lower section of the vertical menu "tourist packages" contains tips and suggestions on some tourist packages of the Adriatic-Ionian area already selected for the user.
For the horizontal menu sections this part displays the texts, while by clicking on whatever options of the left menu a page displaying the dynamic map is viewed showing the different tourist places/attractions indicated by a "balloon" according to the chosen selection criterion.
